Herbal suppositories formulated to promote healing of cervical tissues, support regeneration in cases of cervical dysplasia and erosion, and maintain a local presence of immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory herbal constituents.

How to Make it

  1. 1

    Suppository Preparation

Heat glycerin in a double boiler. Add Echinacea Fluidextract (or the reduced concentrate described) and Calendula tincture. Keep at low temperature for at least 30 minutes to evaporate some alcohol. Add finely powdered gelatin and whisk until completely dissolved and clear (avoid lumps). Pour the solution into plastic disposable 3 or 5 ml suppository molds using a small turkey baster. Allow to set. Yields 80-100 suppositories.

💡

Tips

  • -Suppositories should be inserted at night into the vagina, as close to the cervix as possible.
  • -Suppositories dissolve gradually over 8-12 hours; best used overnight.
  • -Can be continued for many days or as needed for tissue regeneration.
  • -Pharmaceutical-grade gelatin is necessary; there are no effective vegetarian substitutes for these properties.
  • -Suppository molds are available from pharmacy supply houses. Small, individually owned pharmacies may be most helpful in sourcing them.
⚠️

Precautions

  • -Discontinue use if inflammation or irritation occurs.
  • -Use with monitoring (self or by practitioner) in moderate-to-severe dysplasia (Class II or III smears).
  • -Do not use as a substitute for addressing underlying causes, such as hormonal imbalance or chronic infection.
  • -Contains animal-derived gelatin; not suitable for vegetarians.
